Liberia’s agriculture minister presented a US$370 million investment portfolio at the FAO Hand-in-Hand Investment Forum on 14 October. The proposed portfolio includes US$243 million for rice, US$70 million for cocoa, US$32 million for cassava and US$25 million for maize, with opportunities to strengthen food production and climate resilience.
Agribusinesses and development agencies require environmental monitoring, resource planning and sustainable-production analysis. HPC supports sustainability analytics and agricultural planning; the US$370 million figure represents proposed investment opportunities, not a completed investment or environmental-services contract.
