Liberia and MCC Explore Electricity Infrastructure Investment

Liberia’s government and the Millennium Challenge Corporation continued discussions on electricity-sector reform during the week. The proposed compact is expected to consider transmission expansion, rehabilitation and new transmission facilities, with an options and readiness study expected to provide recommendations by January 2027. Energy developers require grid planning, project monitoring and investment-risk analysis. HPC supports infrastructure modelling and energy analytics; the proposed compact’s final investment amount has not been announced.
